Belinda Bale

Senior Associate Director of Communications, National Ballet of Canada

Born in London, England to a theatrical family, Belinda Bale has always been surrounded by the performing arts. As the Senior Associate Director of Communications at The National Ballet of Canada, Belinda oversees the company’s communications and marketing initiatives for both single ticket and subscription campaigns, achieving revenue goals of over $12 million per season. She oversaw the company’s shift to digital and has a passion for creating narrative content that deepens audience engagement and connection to the artform.

Belinda studied technical theatre at Ryerson University in Toronto after moving to Canada. Following graduation, she worked in several theatres in a variety of roles before finding her true calling in communications. Belinda joined the National Ballet in 1995 as Publicist and worked her way up to her present role. In 2008, she left the company to work as Director of Communications at Soulpepper Theatre but ballet being her true love, returned to the company in 2010 where she continues to embrace new initiatives and build richer relationships with audiences.
