Bonnie Goodman

Senior Vice President, Marketing and Communications, The Music Center

A 30+ veteran of strategic marketing and corporate communications, Bonnie Goodman serves as senior vice president of marketing and communications for The Music Center. In that capacity, she is responsible for developing and leading the implementation of a strategic marketing plan to support The Music Center’s brand and advance its programming goals. Goodman oversees a team that operates as a full-service in-house agency, which is focused on broadening the impact of The Music Center’s institutional initiatives, presentations and productions along with the work of its education team.

Goodman joined The Music Center after serving as principal and senior strategist for Goodman Communications Group, a branding, advertising and marketing communications consultancy. Prior to establishing her firm, she was the general manager of the Los Angeles, Irvine and Sacramento offices of international public relations consultancy, Hill & Knowlton, where she was one of the agency’s top marketing communications strategists, a senior member of its global marketing communications practice and a member of the firm’s U.S. Executive Committee. Goodman developed a strategic branding tool, known as BrandView, and created specialty practices in marketing to the Latino community and franchise communications.

During the course of her career, Goodman has designed integrated marketing communications programs for brands in a wide range of industries, as well as for non-profit organizations, in sectors including transportation, hospitality, visual and performing arts, health care, automotive, food and beverage, fast-moving consumer goods, retail, consumer electronics, professional services firms, luxury products, educational and religious institutions and associations. She has served as an instructor in integrated communications and branding for UCLA Extension, USC Annenberg School of Communications and the American Association of Advertising Agencies Institute.

Goodman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications studies from UCLA. Active in civic life and community service, she has served as vice president and marketing chair for the Studio City Residents Association and as president of the Cleveland Humanities Magnet Parents Association
