Hailing from the great state of Texas, a product of the Bowdoin College Music Department and the finest boarding schools the east coast has to offer, Michael is a true classical music enthusiast. With over 1,500 classical recordings organized by birth of composer hiding in every corner of his apartment, it is only prudent that his track record includes over 15 years of subscription and single ticket marketing for orchestras such as the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Colorado Symphony Orchestra, Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and the National Arts Center Orchestra (Ottawa). Currently Michael is the Director of Marketing & Communications for Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, an ensemble founded in 1972 and dedicated to rotating musical leadership to perform diverse repertoire through collaboration and open dialogue. With over 71 albums Orpheus is one of the world’s foremost chamber orchestras. From 2008-2015 Michael served in the marketing department at Carnegie Hall, with a primary focus on subscription marketing, customer relations & volunteer management, and data research. A Tessitura super-user, Michael serves on the advisory board for Audience360 and the board of directors for Musica Sacra. Michael recently completed his 20th marathon in Memphis, TN, and is fixated on breaking is personal record of 3 hours 20 minutes.
