Dustin Brauneck

Director, Relationship Marketing, New York City Ballet

Dustin Brauneck is currently the Director, Relationship Marketing for New York City Ballet, where he leads implementation of annual marketing programs across subscription and single ticket sales. Originally a dance student himself, Mr. Brauneck was introduced to arts administration via a three-month full-time high school internship at American Ballet Theatre, during which he took morning company class alongside ABT’s dancers and spent his days assisting various departments to secure a holistic understanding of the organization’s structure. He then spent two years training at the School of American Ballet while serving as part-time support in NYCB’s communications department, a position he maintained throughout his studies at Columbia University where he double majored in English and German Literature and Cultural History. Following a yearlong U.S. State Department-sponsored exchange in Cologne, Mr. Brauneck returned to NYCB as Publications Coordinator and has remained at the company since with increasing responsibilities. Over the years, he has been involved in NYCB’s 2008 rebrand by Pentagram, a pricing rescale with TRG Arts, and creative campaigns with photographers Henry Leutwyler, Peter Lindbergh, and JR. In his current position, he oversees subscription pricing assessment and sales projections, strategy and implementation of direct mail/email campaigns and relationship-oriented digital advertising, subscription renewal and acquisition telemarketing, content and brand management, and engagement efforts to cultivate balletomanes from the company’s single ticket attendees. Mr. Brauneck currently serves as Co-Chair of the NYC-area Audience 360 network of cultural organizations. In his life outside of the theater, he is an avid Bikram yoga practitioner, collector of X-men comics, and father to two rambunctious Siamese cats.
