Bruce Leto, Jr.

Membership Manager, Curtis Institute of Music

Bruce Leto, Jr. is passionate about the performing arts, classical piano, and the outdoors. Creative, charismatic, and diligent, Bruce started out as an award-winning classical pianist for many years and subsequently majored in music at Haverford College with a concentration in piano studies under the tutelage of Curt Cacioppo. During college, Bruce decided to make a career transition into Arts Administration from his original passion - Piano Performance.  As such, Bruce pursued Development internships at multi-million dollar non-profit arts organizations based in Philadelphia, such as the Philadelphia Orchestra Association and the Mann Center for Performing Arts.

Recently, Bruce finished a Master's Degree in "Performing Arts Administration" at New York University, which conferred in May 2016. In the Music and Performing Arts Professions department of NYU’s Steinhardt School, Bruce received the “Departmental Banner Bearer Award,” chosen for leadership and academic excellence. Additionally, during Bruce’s graduate school years he worked at the Office of Management and Budget for the Mayor of New York City in the Culturals and Libraries Unit.

Currently, Bruce is Membership Manager for Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, PA. His responsibilities involve solicitation, stewardship, and cultivation of lower/mid-level Annual Fund donors while helping to plan, coordinate, and staff member events for the “Friends of Curtis.” During his first fiscal year at Curtis, Bruce worked with the Annual Fund staff to help set an all-time record for most “Friends” of Curtis: $75+ donors to the Annual Fund.

Some of Bruce’s extracurricular activities include water polo, writing, baseball, music production, and surfing.
