Associate Director, Single Ticket Marketing, Carnegie Hall

Jennifer Hempel has marketed over 1,500 one-night-only concerts over the past 20 years. Jennifer has been on the Carnegie Hall marketing team since 2003. Jennifer develops strategic plans for Carnegie Hall’s single-ticket campaigns, and also oversees audience development programs. The integrated campaigns include direct mail (offline and online), value-added opportunities, media partnerships, print advertising, radio, outdoor, and online promotion.
 
Before joining Carnegie Hall, Jennifer was the Director of Development of LIFEbeat, The Music Industry Fights AIDS, where she used online direct response for benefit concert promotion and traditional fundraising campaigns. Prior to LIFEbeat, Jennifer worked for orchestras, dance companies, and choruses on their marketing and fundraising initiatives.
 
A specialist in the nonprofit arena, Jennifer received a bachelor’s degree in Urban and Economic Geography from the University of Toronto, and a post-graduate certificate in nonprofit performing arts management from the Centre of Cultural Management at University of Waterloo.
