Director of Development, Chanticleer
Murrey Nelson is the Director of Development for Chanticleer, the Grammy Award winning, 12-man a capella ensemble. Following 20 years in the for-profit sector, primarily doing trademark licensing in the fashion industry, she switched to non-profit fundraising for arts organizations. She has worked mostly in classical music, for such organizations as the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and Berkeley Symphony. She has served on four arts boards over the years, and is currently serving on the board of Golden Thread Productions, the first American theatre company focused entirely on plays from and about the Middle East, and Sojourn, the multi-faith volunteer chaplaincy at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. She is also on the Vestry of Trinity St. Peters Episcopal Church and is the Chair of the Phillips Academy (Andover) Northern California Regional Alumni Association.
