Ken Levin

Director of Development, San Francisco Playhouse

Ken Levin holds degrees in Psychology and Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.  While in LA, he worked for Fynsworth Alley Records and worked with Liz Callaway, Brent Barret, Jason Graae, and Christiane Noll, among others. He began his career in the Bay Area arts community as a volunteer with Bay Area Cabaret. He started working in development with Smuin Ballet, while working concurrently in various administrative roles at 42nd Street Moon. He eventually became the Associate Director of Marketing and Development and Moon, and then took over the administration as Interim Managing Director. While at Moon, he helped grow Moon’s audience and produce the American Premiere of Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein’s lost musical Three Sisters. From Moon, he joined Berkeley Playhouse as Communications Director facilitating a national social media campaign with American Eagle, as well as substantially expanding their subscription and audience base. For the past three and half years he has been combining his loves of cooking, photography, and relationship building as Development Director as San Francisco Playhouse where he has grown contributed income by 57%.
