Development Director, Playwrights Horizons

Since 2014, Liz Fallon Culp has served as Development Director at Playwrights Horizons, an award-winning Off-Broadway theater dedicated to the support and development of contemporary American playwrights, composers and lyricists.  She oversees contributed revenue programs that account for 40% of the theater’s annual budget.  Among her primary areas of focus are expanding board recruitment and stewardship activities, building robust major gifts and planned giving programs, integrating data analysis and digital strategies into individual giving campaigns, and launching a $15 million combined capital and capitalization campaign.  Prior to this, she spent seven years at WNYC/WQXR, where she launched major gifts and planned giving programs, and generated support for the build-out of New York Public Radio’s digital content and distribution capabilities.  During her 28-year career in the non-profit sector, she has also worked with Brooklyn Botanic Garden, the Big Apple Circus, Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Coalition for the Homeless and at several organizations engaged in AIDS research, education and direct care.  A native of New Jersey and 27-year resident of Brooklyn, Liz is a graduate of Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications; holds a Master in Public Administration degree from Baruch College; and has earned a Certificate in Digital Marketing from New York University.
